May Stamp Camp

May stamp camp was focused on how to use Reinkers. There are so many uses for these wonderful little bottles of ink! We did 4 different techniques in class but there is so much more to do with them! The first project we did was using baby wipes. Place a couple of baby wipes on a plastic plate. Place drops of the colors you are using onto the baby wipe. Use the baby wipe as your ink pad! This is a really neat look!

Stamps: Petal Pizzazz, Short and Sweet
Ink: Basic Gray, Rose Red, Garden Green
Card stock: Whisper White, Rose Red, Garden Green
Accessories: Baby wipes, Rose Red reinker, Garden Green reinker, Pretty in Pink reinker, Texture plates for the Big Shot, Scallop die, Rhinestone brads, dimensionals

The next project was shaving cream! This is messy technique but it is SO worth the trouble. The wonderful marbled look to the card stock is just beautiful! Use the cheapest shaving cream you can find, it works the best. Fill a shallow container with shaving cream. Place drops of your reinker in the shaving cream. Swirl with a knife. Place card stock in the shaving cream. Clean off card stock. The longer the shaving cream sits the darker the color will be. You can get several pieces done with one set up before the colors become too muddy to use.

Stamps: Cheers to You
Ink: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Summer Sun
Card stock: Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Accessories: Shaving cream, Pumpkin Pie reinker, Summer Sun reinker, Regal Rose reinker, scallop edge punch, white gel pen, aqua painter, crystal effects, dazzling diamonds

The third project is done with marbles. This one is really quite easy! Place several marbles in a container with a lid. I like to use the clam shell boxes that Stampin' Up! stamps come in. Place a couple of drops of ink into the box. Close the lid and roll the marbles through the ink. Open up and place card stock on the lid of the box. Close and roll the marbles over the card stock to make the streaks of ink across the card stock.
Stamps: And Any Mower
Ink: Bordering Blue, Barely Banana, Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Certainly Celery
Card stock: Bordering Blue, Barely Banana, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Accessories: Marbles, Bordering Blue reinker, Barely Banana reinker, 1/8" circle punch, crystal effects, aqua painters

The last card is my favorite! I LOVE the way this one turned out. This doing polished stone. For polished stone you take a cotton ball and put some rubbing alcohol on it. Place a couple of drops of reinker onto the cotton ball. Pounce the cotton ball all over the glossy card stock until you achieve the desired effect! With this card, we heat embossed the daisies before we did the polished stone.
Stamps: Upsy Daisy
Ink: White Craft ink
Card stock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Glossy white
Accessories: cotton ball, alcohol, Bashful Blue reinker, Night of Navy reinker, White embossing powder, heat tool, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon, silver brads, 1/16" handheld punch

Happy Stamping!
