Teacher Gifts

For Christmas this past year, I gave my girls' teachers monogram note cards. I had a ton of fun making them! I put them each in a little box that Debbi from Stampin' Addicts shared with me! (Aren't you proud of me? I remembered where I got something from!) This set was given to one of Lydia's teachers, who's favorite color is blue. Marina Mist is my new favorite blue so I just had to use it! The flowers were stamped using the silver shimmer paint. I also got the silver scallop and the circle layer on the cards by punching them from white and then using a finger dauber, colored them silver!

Stamps: Lovely Letters, Baroque Motifs
Ink: Marina Mist
Card Stock: Marina Mist, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle punches, finger dauber, silver
shimmer paint, Whisper White satin ribbon, dimesionals

Purple is the favorite color of Belle's teacher so Concord Crush was the color I picked to make her cards! Belle is so funny! She has always LOVED the color orange. As soon as she found out her teacher's favorite color is purple, her favorite color changed! Can you guess what her "new" favorite color is? Yep, Purple!! Oh, to be 4 again!

Stamps: Lovely Letters
Ink: Concord Crush
Card Stock: Whisper White, Concord Crush
Accessories: Scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle punches, Eyelet border
punch, Whisper White taffeta ribbon, Concord Crush ribbon

This last set was for Lydia's other teacher who's favorite color is green. This set is similar to the set I made for Jeanine this last fall. Different colors, of course but the same layout.

Stamps: Lovely Letters
Ink: Old Olive
Card Stock: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop circle, 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle punches, Scallop trim punch,
Old Olive satin ribbon, Elegant Lines embossing folder

Because this card is hard to see, I took a photo of one out of the box.

I think all the teachers liked their cards. I even got one back as a Thank You note!

Happy Stampin'!

Happy New Year!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while! Christmas kept me pretty busy. We celebrated on the 26th and 27th with my family. Then we came home and got ready for a big party we have at our house every year! That was on the 2nd. Then the kiddies had to go back to school and life caught up with me! Groceries were needed and there was cleaning after the party. Friends of ours needed a bunk bed set and I wanted to get rid of the one that we have so yesterday they came and got the bunk beds and now I have to re-paint and re-organize my youngest two's bedroom! I guess there is always something! I'm sure you all have stories similar to mine.

Well, I have been stamping! I had a couple of swaps that I needed to get done. I'll show you those soon! Keep watching! This card I thought when a friend of mine and I were driving to Green Bay by another friend last year! I finally got around to stamping the vision that I had. I know that it says Merry Christmas but this is a nice winter card!

Stamps: Pendant Park, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Marina Mist
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Night of Navy
Accessories: Clear embossing powder, 2-way glue, Dazzling Diamonds, White taffeta ribbon, word window
and modern label punches, square lattice embossing folder, dimensional

Not sure if you can see it but the Night of Navy piece in the background was embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. So what do you think?

Happy Stampin'!
