Foxy Pages

I'm sorry that I haven't been posting. I have really been struggling to create anything lately. I have been trying to make something but I just can't seem to get beyond getting the stuff off the shelf. Anyone have any ideas how to find your creative juices? Well, here is a set of pages I made a year ago that I never got put on my blog.

I shared with you a set of pages entitled Zoo HERE back in May. Here's another set of pages using the Foxy Friends stamp set. I didn't use the punch this time to create the adorable creatures, I stamped them! I love this wood DSP so much that this is the only creation I have made using the paper! I have a serious problem!

The wood DSP is only 6x6 paper. I cut them and the butted the two halves together. You can't even tell that there is a seam on these. The wood grain texture helps with this too.

Here's a closer look of those adorable foxes.

Don't be like me and hoard all those fantastic papers! Get creating with them! I am going to be working on using the current papers and some of the retired papers that I have stashed in my craft room. Be on the look out!

Animal Outing Swap

In June, I participated in a swap for the new catalog. I love doing swaps so that I get other ideas, color combinations, layouts, and samples with stamps that I don't own. So much fun to open the package when it is returned and see all those wonderful goodies!

This is the card that I created for that swap. I had gotten this stamp set in April at OnStage but had not used it. I love this rhino! He's so stinkin' cute!

I have this set on my list to use again soon. Someday my creativity will come back. I keep working on it a little bit each day, hoping that one day I'll be back at creating more regularly!

Graduation Thank Yous

You may recall that I had a daughter graduate this spring from high school. We had a big party for Miriam and she had lots of love shed on her that day so she needed some thank you cards. I kept them pretty simple as she needed to get them in the mail. Shoreland's school colors are black and gold. I like to use Crushed Curry for the gold. I used an old stamp set called Pomp & Circumstance. The thank you came from Love What You Do.

These would be easy to recreate using any colors that touches you that day! I would change out the mortar board cap for another stamp and it could be used for any thank you! I love simple layouts for that reason.

May Christmas Cards

Sorry I haven't posted in quite a while. I have really been struggling with the loss of my mom. She has been gone 3 months already. I miss her terribly everyday. She used to drive me bananas at times but she was always mom. She was there to chat with no matter what was going on. She was my family's biggest cheerleader. She has left a HUGE hole that I struggle with everyday.

I'll share mom's full story with you another day.

She would not be happy with me to know that I really haven't done much creating since she went into the hospital on June 22. I have not done much of anything since that Friday. I have tried but it feels so flat. I have been trying harder to do a few more things in my everyday life but especially in crafting because crafting has always been my happy place. I need to get back there.

These Christmas cards were made before mom went to the hospital. I was trying to make 6 Christmas cards every month so that the Christmas season would be less stressful and all I had to do was sign and mail! Here are the cards I made for June.

See, I really do make 6 each month!

I have to show you the inside of this card. The outside says, "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas." And inside says, "But if white runs out, I'll drink red. Merry Christmas."

Isn't this just a great stamp set? I have enjoyed using it to make Christmas cards. I am going to have to make a few non-Christmas cards with it.

I know who will be getting these already! I look forward to hearing what they have to say about them!
