Stampin' Up! Mother's Doily

I hope that everyone had a great Mother's day yesterday! Ours was quiet which makes it a GREAT day!

Here's a card that I created for my mom for Mother's day. I used this card to show off the doily die as well as the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the blossom punch. I also used two of the retiring In Colors, Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride. I must admit that I had a very difficult time working this the doily die. Once I realized that my Big Shot was too "loose" to cut this die correctly, I was able to add 2 sheets of copy paper to my sandwich and then the cardstock was being cut completely through and I fell in love with this die.

Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Regal Rose
Accessories: Doily Die, Blossom punch, Word Window punch, Modern
Label punch, Perfect Polka dots embossing folder, mini brads, dimensionals

Don't miss out on the In Colors! They will be gone on May 31!

Happy Stampin'!
Shelley

Good to know about the doily die; it's beautiful so it would be shame to hide it away in a drawer.
Happy Mother's Day (late)!

The mylar shims also work to make that sandwich a bit thicker to get all the cuts for the doily. It will be interesting to see what happens with the other doily sizzlit in the new catalog... Great card, Shelley! I'm going to miss Blushing Bride.

I have been skittish about this die. Glad to know about the shimming. Now I may have to get it! Such a pretty card!

I'm with Jen. I haven't bought it because I've heard so many complaints. Thanks for the tip. I might have to get it now.
