A Touch of Ink

Have you seen this fantastic set yet? I LOVE this set! It's called A Touch of Ink and you can get it free during Sale-a-bration with $100 order (before tax and shipping)! This set is considered a two-step stamping set but the insides of the images do not fit perfectly in the outlines. They are meant to spill over the edges for an artistic look.

I used the butterfly for this card. I started with Petal Pink cardstock and stamped Birch background on it. I sponged Petal Pink ink on the edges to soften the look. I used Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves and Petal Pink and Terracotta Tile for the butterfly.

I had to fussy cut one of these adorable hummingbirds.  This is a pretty simple card other than the fussy cutting. I stamped the leaves with Old Olive ink on Old Olive cardstock. I added the two small layers of cardstock and then the hummingbird that I fussy cut. To get the two tones of the hummingbird, I inked him up with Pear Pizzazz ink. I used a sponge dauber to remove the Pear ink from the belly. Then I used another sponge dauber to add Terracotta Tile ink instead. I used the light Cajun Craze blend to color the pearls.

#simplestamping is how I would describe this card. There is nothing on this card other than paper, ink and stamps. You can see how the middles of the images don't perfectly line up with the outlines. If you really wanted to dress up this card, you could add some rhinestones and Wink of Stella. You could add a layer or two and some ribbon too. I wanted it simple.

Please let me know if I can help you with an order so you too can earn this beautiful set!

Snowflake Wishes Pages

I love snowy days! The peace of snowfall is soothing to my soul. I enjoy being outside while it is snowing. We had a snow day from school too on Tuesday! We got about 8 inches of snow with blowing and drifting so they called school for the day. Unexpected days off are the best! They are such a gift.

I had created these pages before our snow day and am just now getting to share them. I started with 2 12x12 pieces of Pacific Point cardstock.

The title was die cut using the Hand Letter Prose alphabet dies. This set of dies has retired. I like to keep my alphabet dies for scrapbooking. After I had cut the letters out, I covered them with Wink of Stella. The designer series paper, Snowflake Splendor, is also retired but you could make your own. Stamp the snowflakes all over and use the blending brushes or sponges to add color around the snowflakes.

I stamped the snowflakes on the right side of this page and then added a few die cuts. The die cuts are covered with Wink of Stella also.  I also added a few of the Iridescent Pearls to the page. The bottom strip of paper is Night of Navy. I'm not sure why it looks black in these photos.

I would love to have you join me for a scrapbooking class. I have this class on the 4th Monday of the month at my house at 7pm. We always create 2 double layouts for $15. This is one of the sets of pages you could have made with me! The next date is February 22.
