Silhouette Scenes

Have you seen the See a Silhouette Suite? I adore silhouetted images. I love the simplicity to them. And the designer series paper for this suite is fantastic! I will be pulling this set and paper out again very soon!

I started with this little guy and his airplane. I think this could be one of my girls. One daughter wants to fly helicopters for the Army and another one wants to go to college to become a commercial airline pilot. I hope they both keep dreaming!

The background on this card is the designer series paper. Isn't it fabulous? I love the sunset feel of this paper. The tree is die cut with the Sweet Silhouette dies. This tree is so intricate. The girl swinging was stamped on the paper.

TIP: I put my Pierce Mat under the paper before I stamped. The extra cushion helps get a clean, solid image. Don't push too hard though or you'll get the edge of the stamp on the paper too.

This image is so romantic to me. My hubby is anything but romantic so I live vicariously through this image when I see it.

Be on the lookout for the set of scrapbook pages I made using this set and papers. They are really pretty!

Happy Stampin'!

Colorful Seasons Spring/Summer

This is a wonderful set called Colorful Season. It has a set of coordinating dies called Seasonal Layers. The adirondack chair is from the die set. I stamped the branches first and then the flowers over the branches in Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride. Life is a beautiful thing, don't waste it!

The Lovely Lipstick was embossed with Lace embossing folder. The flowers were stamped with Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride card stock. I put a pearl in the center of each flower.

The branches and flowers were die cut with the Seasonal Layers dies. The flowers have Champagne Mist shimmer paint on them. So sparkly!

This is my happy place! Living in WI, I don't get to the ocean beach fronts very often but when I do, I LOVE it! We have a very nice beach in Racine, WI but Lake Michigan never gets very warm so I don't like getting into it.

To create this card, I picked up Coastal Cabana ink on my Aqua Painter and did a color wash with it on the top of the card stock. Then I did the same with Pool Party ink in the middle and Crumb Cake at the bottom. The chairs were die cut from Pool Party and "Just breathe" was stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed in gold.

TIP: To adhere the chairs and branches, I used the silicone mat, a stampin' sponge, and multi-purpose glue. I put the glue on the mat and used the sponge to pick up the glue. I pounced the sponge to the back of the die cuts and adhered the items without glue getting everywhere. So much cleaner!

I'm ready for some heat of summer!

Happy Stampin'!
