Ornate Garden

The Ornate Garden suite is gorgeous! I love the flowers on the papers and the stamp is large! I love larger images. Oh, who am I kidding, I love all sizes of images!

I used only a portion of the flower stamp image on this first card. I stamped the image on the circle die cut. I used my So Saffron marker to color in the centers of the flowers and then used Wink of Stella too. The words on the bottom come from Ornate Thanks, one of the sets in this suite.

This paper is so fabulous! It's Mint Macaron and gold. I wanted to highlight this paper a bit so I colored the floral image with my Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Ivory and Copper Blends for a soft, subtle look the the bouquet.

I water colored the flower for this card. Isn't this bouquet just beautiful? I like to put a layer of color down and let it dry a bit and then come with the same color ink again to add the details when I'm water coloring.

I made these cards over a couple of days. I kept being interrupted. I didn't even realize that they are basically the same layout with small changes. The first on has the banner end cut into the DSP, the middle one has the DSP off to the side a bit and the last one is in the center. But how different the cards look with some small changes and color changes.

This suite of products will be in the new catalog on June 3. It is available for purchase now. If you would like to purchase it you can go to my website and check out all the goodies that are in this suite.

Sea of Texture 1

Sea of Textures was a new set to the 2018-2019 catalog that I had to have. I purchased the bundle of stamps and dies and then added the designer series papers. When it got here I put it on the shelf and forgot about it. Yep, it has sat on my shelf for over a year and a half before I finally took it off and stamped with it! Do you have sets that you have done that to? I have to admit that I have a few from the current catalog that I bought last summer that hasn't seen ink yet. I'm working on it but...HOW SAD!

Anyway, this set got inked! I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sea Foam and it's really hard to see in this picture. The net was stamped twice as well as the coral. The octopus was stamped and then die cut and adhered with dimensionals. A few rhinestones and called this one a success!

I did a little more detail on this card. The sand dollars were die cut. The star in the middle is a separate piece that I put back into the sand dollar and then added Wink of Stella to just the star. The bottom portion of this card I created by stamping the sandy looking stamp with Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Highland Heather. I love the look of texture with this!

I used the Birch background stamp on this card. I think it looks like waves, at least a little bit. The fish cut from the circle are part of the die set. I really wanted to use this cut out as a stencil and then forgot all about doing that while the stamps were on my table. Guess they will have to come out again soon! I added just a touch of Highland Heather with my aqua painter to the birch background. It was meant to be subtle but you can't even see it on the picture.

Hopefully you are stamping and using your goodies better than I am. Shhh...just don't tell my husband that I have stamps that are uninked! I don't think he'll like that too much.
