Jar of Flowers

This stamp set has been around for awhile already. I did purchase it fairly early on in its history with Stampin' Up! but didn't take the time to play with it. I think there were so many people playing with it that I didn't. I'm sad that I haven't pull this from my shelf sooner. No need to wallow in what didn't happen. Just keep working forward!

Highland Heather is the card base for this beauty. I really enjoy the bright colors on this card and the spring feel that radiates off this card. I colored the flowers with Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green blends. Wouldn't you love this bouquet sitting on your kitchen counter? I would!

Valentine scrapbook pages

These pages turned out way better than I had thought although they are not exactly as I had hoped they would be, either. There is NO stamping on these pages but you don't always have to stamp either. Shh! Don't tell my husband that! I will deny, DeNy! DENY!!!

Calming Camellia

I really had fun playing with Calming Camellia. I wanted to use the leaves too when creating with this set. If you remember from last week, the cards all had the gorgeous flower grouping on them. So this time I pulled the leaves out and created a few more cards.

Granny Apple Green is the hero on this card. The top layer was embossed with Hive and I used the debossed side. You can see how the honeycomb looks like it is sunken in, that is the debossed side of the cardstock. The embossed side would have the honeycomb raised. It really doesn't matter much. Both sides are pretty! The stems are from the Bough punch. This punch has two boughs that you can punch out. I only used the one.

Driving By

This set is so stinking cute! I think these older looking vehicles are so much fun and create some adorable cards. I added the Sunshine & Rainbows paper and I have several fantastic cards just waiting to be addressed and sent out to some happy people.

This card was the subject to a recent Facebook Live that I did. I started with Pool Party cardstock. The layers are Magenta Madness (This color will be retiring you! Stock up while you can!) To create the background for the van, I used watercolor pencils and scribbled them on a piece of watercolor paper. I then used a water brush to blend the pencil colors out and into each other. I stamped the van over the top and colored the tires with watercolor pencils too. The windows I used a white gel pen to color. I didn't like the way the black was balance so I added the three black matte dots and that made all the difference.

Amaryills Bloom

I got this Amaryills Abloom as a gift from another demonstrator. I have to admit that I wasn't so sure about it when I got it. I did play with though and while I'm pleased with what I made, I'm still not sure about this stamp set.

I started with Soft Succulent cardstock for the card base. I added a layer of Tidings of Christmas that I tied a piece of gold ribbon around. I die cut a piece of Basic White and Cherry Cobbler with the dies from Hippo & Friends labels. Then I stamped the flower with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The greeting was stamped with Evening Evergreen ink.

Happy Holly-Days

You get to see how much I like nature again! Happy Holly-Days stamp set was purchased by me because I adored this bird! I kind of knew that it wouldn't hang around more than the mini catalog but I still loved this bird enough that I bought the set. I did use it but then didn't take the time to write up posts and share with you.

The bird and holly are fussy cut. If you don't like fussy cutting, DON'T FUSSY CUT THE HOLLY LEAVES! They were a pain in the bum and I don't mind fussy cutting. The bird wasn't too bad. The card base is Granny Apple Green and the strip in the middle is Real Red. The bird and holly are colored with blends. The red has gold foil along the edges. The foil is a bit pricey so to make sure I'm not wasting any of it, I cut 1/2" strips and adhered them to the edges of the Real Red cardstock.

Frosted Gingerbread Pages

Christmas layouts are so fun to create for me. I love all the bright colors and fun patterns that is associated with Christmas.

Here is one of the fun layouts that I made recently with the Gingerbread & Peppermint suite.

I started with Real Red 12 x 12 cardstock. I cut the  designer series paper to 2" x 6" strips. I picked the order of the patterns and adhered the papers to the tops of the cardstock.

This suite had a Memories and More pack as part of it and I used two of those cards to help accent the layout. I also die cut the star, ornament, bell and snowflake from Cinnamon Cider and Basic White to layer together for accent pieces. A little bit of ribbon helped finish these pages.

Working with the 6 x 6 papers is a challenge for me at times. I'm not always sure how to use them on scrapbook pages. I love the way these pages turned out though. I may have to do this layout, or one similar again.

Many of these supplies are no longer available but you can still click on the pictures below to be taken to my online store and see what is available!

Calming Camellia

Sale-a-bration always has amazing goodies that you can get for free. One is this fantastic stamp set called Calming Camellia. This set can be yours with a $300 workshop. Let's plan a day to create with some of your friends and get this set into your hot little hands!

I started with Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I stamped the camellias with Cherry Cobbler ink and then colored in the flowers with a blender pen and white craft ink. My re-fill for my craft ink needed to be shaken up more before I used it as it was sitting for a while. I ended up putting two coats of ink on the flowers. You probably wouldn't have to if your ink is all mixed. This technique is called whitewash.

I did create this card on a Facebook Live. You can watch that HERE

Festive Foliage

Did you notice this large background stamp in the July-December mini catalog? It was pretty easy to miss but WOW is it easy to use and make some fantastic cards! This background is called Festive Foliage.

I heat embossed the image onto Evening Evergreen with gold embossing powder. I wrapped that layer with Soft Succulent ribbon and added the greeting which was also heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Super simple! This would be really easy to mass produce.

Merry Scrapbook Pages

I truly love the challenge of creating scrapbook pages. Cards come much easier for me but pages take a bit more work and time. I also love to design paper around a stamp set. Sometimes though, the designer series paper just calls my name and I must create!

This paper was in the June to December mini catalog. It is called Whimsy & Wonder. It had a coordinating stamp set and dies but I was not as intrigued by them so I didn't purchase them. There is no stamping on these pages.

The base for these pages is 2 pieces of Mossy Meadow 12" x 12" cardstock.

Playful Penguins

This penguin is so adorable! I fell in love with him when I first saw him in the July-December mini catalog. I had fun creating with him too. These cards are more every day cards to show that you can use him for more than just Christmas cards.

This one starts with Polished Pink for the card base. I layered on Soft Sea Foam. The Night of Navy is cut into 3 pieces after it was embossed with Bark embossing folder and then the white craft pad dragged across the top.  The circle behind the penguin was stamped with Soft Sea Foam and Night of Navy. I used blending brushes to add more color to it.

Evergreen Elegance

Evergreen Elegance is a beautiful set of evergreen trees with a coordinating punch that is in the main catalog. If you have followed me for any length of time, you know that I am fascinated with God's creation. Trees, birds, flowers, nature has such beauty and I love it! This set has such great evergreens in it.

Shaded Spruce is the color for the base of this card. I stamped the evergreen several times before re-inking each time. This creates the allusion of the trees being closer and farther away. I did make this card as a Facebook Live. You can watch the replay HERE

Celebrate Sunflowers

Well, it's Monday again. They keep coming around even though they are unwanted! Ha! I want to bring you a little bit of sunshine today so I am sharing my Celebrate Sunflowers cards that I made a couple of weeks ago. I know that sunflowers are typically a fall thing but when you need some sunshine, sunflowers seem to be the answer for me, at least it was when I was creating these!

This one starts with an Early Espresso card base and I added layers of Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake. Both were embossed with folders. I stamped, colored and die cut the flowers and leaves. I then die cut the extra leaves and the wheat stalks. I then just played with an arrangement until I liked it, adhering with tape as I went. I put the bundle on the card front with dimensionals when I had it all together and was pleased with it.

Great Tidings

Nativities might be a weakness for me. I may have over 35 different sets and this doesn't not include ornaments on my Christmas tree. When Stampin' Up! shares the June - December mini catalogs, I am always looking to see what religious Christmas stamp set they are including. This past year's set was calling Great Tidings. While this set didn't have the whole nativity, it did have the wisemen and I had great fun creating with it.

This may be my favorite card of this bunch, although I really like the way they all turned out. I started with Night of Navy for the card base. The next layer is Misty Moonlight. Boy, am I going to miss this color! It is schedule to retire in April. I will be stocking up a bit. I stamped the Stacked Stone on the Misty Moonlight. The wiseman was stamped with Memento ink and then colored with Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green blends. The circle is a die cut piece of vellum.

In Symmetry

I am smitten with this paper! The bold patterns are so fantastic! The colors are eye catching. I was so excited to play with it when I got it. I played with it almost right away but then it took me some time to get this post written. Ah, life! Such a wonderful thing!

This paper is called Sweet Symmetry. It can be found in the main catalog. The coordinating set is called In Symmetry. I started this card with a Night of Navy card base. The designer series paper is actually 4 pieces that are cut at 2" x 2-5/8". I folded the inside corners of each piece creating the center opening. The circles are die cut with the Layering Circle dies. I colored the crinkled binding ribbon and the rhinestones with the Night of Navy dark blend.
