Playful Penguins

This penguin is so adorable! I fell in love with him when I first saw him in the July-December mini catalog. I had fun creating with him too. These cards are more every day cards to show that you can use him for more than just Christmas cards.

This one starts with Polished Pink for the card base. I layered on Soft Sea Foam. The Night of Navy is cut into 3 pieces after it was embossed with Bark embossing folder and then the white craft pad dragged across the top.  The circle behind the penguin was stamped with Soft Sea Foam and Night of Navy. I used blending brushes to add more color to it.

Another cute card with the classic color combination of Basic Black, Real Red, and Basic White. I used Stacked Stone for the background. The slight tilt to the layers with the penguin adds a playfulness and the ribbon is so fun!

I kept this card pretty simple. A Basic White card base, a layer of Basic Black and another layer of Basic White that was embossed with Brick & Mortar folder and the checkered ribbon tied around make up this card. The penguin was punched and added with dimensionals. The star are an embellishment from the Cute Halloween suite this fall. I'm sad we don't have them any more. I really like the little extra they add to cards.

You can't purchase this set at the moment but this set did not retire and will be making a come back in June. Be on the lookout and don't over look it think it is only good for Christmas and winter cards. He is too cute to not use for other purposes!

I appreciate all who shop with me. You can be one of my shoppers too but clicking on the pictures below and shop in my online store.

Happy Stampin'!
