Confirmation Gifts Part 2

Here are the second half of the gifts that I made for this year's confirmation gifts.

I used up the last of my frames so I will be on the hunt for more! One thing I would change about these is that I feel like the font size of the Bible passages is a bit too small. I would make that bigger. Oh well. Next year I'll print a bit bigger!

Confirmation Gifts Part 1

We have confirmation on the first Sunday of May every year at our church. I know that I have shared the framed verses that I have made for these special young people. Each student picks a Bible verse that means something to them. I print those verses and then put them in a frame, with a cross and vinyl letters on the glass. Here are the ones I made for this year's class.

All the DSP is Stampin' Up! but it is all retired. I have stacks and stacks of retired Designer Series papers. I am trying to use some of them up.

I'll share the second half of these gifts in tomorrow's post. Stay tuned!

Graduation Invitations

My second daughter, Miriam, graduated from high school this spring. I asked her to pick out an invitation that she liked off of Pinterest. I can't find the original but this is the card that I created for her.

The left flap is embossed with the embossing folder called Sparkle. The tassel is made from paper. I cut a piece of Crushed Curry about 1 1/4" by 1". I made small cuts almost all the way to the top and then rolled them. I adhered them to a small piece of Crushed Curry bakers twine that has since retired.

She loved the way they turned out and I received a ton of complements on them. They weren't too hard either. More cutting than anything else!

Heartland Swap

The April theme for the Swap-a-holics group was Masculine. This is the swap that I created and sent to everyone.

I used the stamp set called Heartland. My second daughter, Miriam is going to school to studying Agricultural Engineering. I had to have this set and this is the first card that I made with it. I love the way this one turned out!

The triangle pieces on the corners are stamped with Hardwood. This is a pretty simple card but the impact is awesome!

Blog Hop Follow Up

How did you enjoy the blog hop? There were so many great ideas! I am going to have to steal some of the color combinations!

Here are my pages.

Here is a close up of the left side of the these pages. You can see that I die cut the flowers and used sponge daubers to color them. What you really can't see is that I used Wink of Stella on the large roses. They glitter so pretty!

I did the same on this side of the pages. The flowers along the bottom were stamped in Coastal Cabana and the highlights were stamped in Bermuda Bay. I added the butterflies on dimensionals around the pages

I look forward to creating more with this wonderful color, Gorgeous Grape!
