Hi! My name is Shelley Zarling. I am the mother to 4 beautiful daughters and the wife of a pastor. We live in a small town near Racine, WI.
I started stamping in 1996 when I found out I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. I really wanted to make her baby announcements, but was clueless on how to go about it. I was then introduced to Stampin' Up! by a friend of mine. She helped me pick out the colors and stamps and then helped with the design of the card as well.
My friend continued to help me learn to stamp and she even was the demonstrator at a workshop that I hosted. Her husband was military and they received orders to leave. She put me in contact with another demonstrator. I continued to take classes and host workshops for about 3 years with her, but she was also the wife to a military man and received orders to move. She gave my name to another demonstrator when she packed up her family to continue their journey.
I again hosted many workshops and took even more classes with the new demonstrator. I learned many new techniques, layouts, and color combinations over the years of working with these ladies. In 2004, my husband received information that would take us from Kentucky to Wisconsin. I really wasn't sure what to do about my love of stamping. I talked to my demonstrator about it and decided that it was my turn to become a demonstrator! I just didn't want to have to find yet another demonstrator!
So we moved in April of 2004 and I signed up as a demonstrator in July of 2004. I am what is called a hobby demonstrator. I do it for fun and to get out a little bit now and then. I love the discount that you get for being part of the Stampin' Up! family as well as the training that is provided for demonstrators.
If you have any questions about Stampin' Up!, please feel free to ask! I would be happy to help you!
