Night Divine

I am so sad that this set and dies will be retiring soon. I love them so much and they are so easy to work with. I have another project that I'm working on that I am excited to share with you soon, using this stamp set and dies.

I started this card with Copper Clay. This is a real rich orangey/bronze color. I know you can't see it in the pictures but the nativity is covered with Wink of Stella and has lots of glitz and shine to it in real life.

Seaside Bay Scrapbook Pages

Oh, how I love the beach! But trying to create 12 x 12 scrapbook layouts can be a challenge sometimes with 6 x 6 papers. It can be hard for me to figure out how to cut the papers to fill the whole area. I loved this layout for a 6 x 6 paper pack. It uses 2 x 2 squares to create the top and bottom borders.

Advent Calendar

Stampin' Up! came out with this fantastic Advent calendar kit. It is a sturdy frame with 24 boxes that are also very sturdy. Everything you need to create this calendar is in the kit. It was fun and easy to create too!

While this kit is not available with Stampin' Up! any longer, there is a new kit that has envelopes for putting goodies into for advent. I do have several of these kits available that you can purchase through me. Please let me know if you would like to purchase a kit or two. It will be first come, first served as I have a limited number of kits.

Quiet Meadows

Quiet Meadows is such a beautiful set. I have loved it from the first time I saw it. I played with it over the summer and had lots of fun creating with it. 

I started with Granny Apple Green for the card base. I stamped the large flower with Granny Apple Green ink randomly on the card base. I inked up the flower stems with Garden Green and Flirty Flamingo markers. I then huffed on the image and stamped it onto the Basic White cardstock. Color in the flowers with Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink markers. Using a ruler, mark a rectangle around the flowers lightly with a pencil. Make sure when you draw your rectangle, that some of the image is outside of the rectangle. This adds a playful element to the card. Color in the rectangle with a Basic Black marker. I drew a rectangle around the outside too to add some fun. Finish card. HERE is the Facebook Live video where I show this technique and make this card. 

Charming Sentiments

Charming Sentiments is such an awesome stamp set with coordinating dies. The dies cut around the sentiments close and in the shape of the words. It's kind of a cool look that is fun to play with.

I started with Basic Gray card base and added a layer of Basic White, Basic Gray and Basie White. The top white layer has strips of Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. The colors make a great background for the greeting.

Seaside Bay Scrapbook Pages

I made these pages this spring when this designer series paper was current. It has since retired but the stamp set and dies are still available. I used these pages for my scrapbooking class this spring too. I run this class every month on the fourth Monday.

Taco Fiesta

Yummm...I love Mexican food! Because I love Mexican food, I knew that I would need this set in my stamp room. 

This card has a simple layout but I have to admit that it took me a while to get the measurements down so that the Granny Apple Green and Real Red was the correct sizes to have a bit of the Basic White showing between them. I stamped the lime on the Granny Apple to add some texture to the card. The center panel is on dimensionals as well as the hat on the cactus.

Night Divine

Have you seen the Night Divine bundle? I am in LOVE! I love nativity sets and now I have a fantastic die set too! The bundle consists of a great stamp set that has several Christian Christmas greetings and the nativity dies. You can add on the the Star of Light bundle for some more wonderful images, some star dies, and a great star embossing folder.

I  don't normally like to do black Christmas cards but I believe this one works! The card base is Basic Black. I embossed the Basic White piece with the Stars at Night embossing folder after I stamped the greeting with Memento ink. I die cut the camel from Basic Black, Basic Gray, and Smoky Slate. In person, this doesn't look so trippy as it does on this picture!

Happy Hedgehogs

This little guy is so stinking cute! I think he is adorable and therefore, hard to make an ugly card with it. Maybe that should be the next challenge, to make an ugly card. Hmm...I don't think I really want that challenge. More fun creating cute things!

The cherry blossom tree in the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set is so simple and pretty. I stamped the butterfly multiple times on the background of the Pool Party cardstock. The hedgehog was stamped with Pecan Pie on Pecan Pie cardstock.

Greatest Journey Scrapbook Pages

I shared a set of scrapbook pages last week that used the same stamps, dies, and papers as this set does. This paper had so many fantastic patterns and designs. I loved creating projects with it.

My family has vacationed in the Smoky Mountains a couple of times. We absolutely love it there. We went again this past summer and I knew we were going when I made these pages up. 

Garden Birdhouses

Oh boy, another stamp set that I created with before it retired but am just now sharing. Sigh. Someday I will actually share my creations in a timely manor! I do appreciate everyone of you that still hangs out with me.

Garden Birdhouses is a delightful set. It has 3 different birdhouses, tree branch, birds, post, greetings, grass, and I'm sure other things I'm forgetting. It did not have dies or a punch but you don't need that to create great projects. I started with Highland Heather cardstock and stamped the tree branch with Highland Heather ink to create the back ground. The birdhouse was stamped and colored with blends and then fussy cut. I know! Not everyone likes to fussy cut but this is a simple, straight lined image so it took no time at all to cut out!

Cheerful Daisies

Daisies are my favorite flower. I'm pretty sure I have shared that here before. I love how happy they are  and simple and honest. While Cheerful Daisies are not my favorite set of daisies that Stampin' Up! has created, they are the current ones and I still like them!

The designer series paper for this suite is called Fresh as a Daisy. I started this card with Pebbled Path card stock, added a layer of Lemon Lolly and a piece of Fresh as a Daisy designer series paper. The greeting was added to complete the card. Simple and lets the fabulous designer series paper do all the work.

Greatest Journey Scrapbook Pages

I have not been doing much scrapbooking lately. I just haven't felt all that inspired but I really love the way they turn out so I need to get over it and get those papers out and get scrapping. 

Butterfly Brilliance

Butterfly Brilliance was retired in April. This is a beautifully detailed stamp set with a wonderful set of coordinating dies. I actually created these cards before the set retired. I'm just behind in sharing my creations. 

These 3 cards are all very similar. I started by stamping the large stamp with Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock.

Oceanfront

Goodness, I have been missing in action again. I just can't seem to figure out a schedule that will work for me to create, take pictures, edit pictures, upload pictures, and write out the posts. I will try again and pray that I get it figured out soon. Thanks for staying with me. I do have LOTS of projects to share with you. 

I will start with some Oceanfront cards. This set was released in a mini catalog and I just loved it. But like many set, I order them and then they sit and wait for me to get around to using them. Finally Oceanfront found it's way onto my stamping table. 

Lost Lagoon was a color that Stampin' Up! introduced several years ago. When they did the last color refresh I was surprised that Lost Lagoon was not part of it. Then I was surprised again when it came back with this color refresh. Clearly I don't know how Stampin' Up! thinks and works. Well, Lost Lagoon is the card base here. I also used Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

A Fish and a Wish

A Fish & A Wish was not around the Stampin' Up! world for long but it made a splash! Ha! Did you get. my joke? Yep, it was a bad one but I'm good with that.

I used the stamp set called Watercolor Shapes to add the bubbles to the background on and on the main image. The seaweed was stamped a couple of times so that it felt full and abundant. I like the ribbon around the top of the main image but it is not needed.

Sweet Songbirds Scrapbook Pages

The Sweet Songbirds really are a sweet set of images with a coordinating punch. I admit to purchasing this stamp set a while ago and not really creating with it yet. It will be on my desk very soon. Watch for more fun projects with this set to come.

On the Farm

This was a class at home set of cards. On the Farm is an adorable set that has now retired. This was a class from a couple of months ago. These cards were fun to create.

Peaceful Deer

Peaceful Deer has been a great stamp set to use to make some fantastic Christmas cards. It's fairly simplistic and the punch makes it even easier to use. This set and punch are retired. 

Garden Green and Real Red are your traditional Christmas colors and what I used to make these cards. I stamped the snowflakes with Garden Green. The deer was stamped, punched and adhered with dimensionals.

Seaside Bay

Ah...the beach really is my happy place. I love the mountains and the plains and the valleys and all of God's creation but the beach...ahhh.

Seaside Bay made its debut in the spring mini catalog with this fantastic coordinating designer series paper. I stamped the clam with Night of Navy ink and then colored it with Balmy Blue and Petal Pink blends so it felt more realistic. I added some Wink of Stella to the pearl too.

Greatest Journey

Greatest Journey is a fun adventure set. While I am not the most adventurous person, I do try to have fun. I did marry a man that loves to GOOOO! He doesn't sit still for very long. The greetings in this set are fantastic. I really enjoy them for so many occasions. 

I die cut the cyclist from So Saffron, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks. Dandy Designs designer series paper help create the ground they were riding on.

On the Farm Scrapbook Pages

I was disappointed when On the Farm stamp set and dies didn't carry over to the new catalog. I love this set and can think of a few more things to create with it. I will be working on those items but I probably won't be sharing those creations. 

Butterfly Brilliance

Butterflies are so stunning and delicate. I appreciate the craftsmanship that God has put into these marvelous creatures. With that admiration for these insects, I really enjoyed having Butterfly Brilliance at my finger tips. These images have many of the same details that God put into the creatures, making them absolutely stunning. Keep reading to see the surprise this card has to offer!

Nature's Harvest

Nature's Harvest has been a favorite of mine for a number of years already. I understood why it was on the retiring list but I wasn't ready to let it go yet so here I am creating more fun cards with it. 

Night of Navy is the card base. The layer colors are Very Vanilla and Balmy Blue. The background was stamped with the large background stamp called Daisy Garden.

Christmas Pinecones

These three cards are focused on the set of dies called Christmas Pinecones. I usually focus on a stamp set or bundle but these dies are so beautiful I had to highlight them too. I did make these cards before the color refresh this spring. You can still take these ideas and run with another set of colors!

I die cut both layers of the Christmas Pinecones from Basic White cardstock. The cardstock that would be on top of the layers I colored with sponge daubers and Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake ink pads. I then layered the two layers onto the card front.

Taco Fiesta Scrapbook Pages

Taco Fiesta was introduced in the spring mini catalog and I had to have it. I love Mexican food and the images are so stinking cute! They make fun cards and scrapbook pages. You can see a set of pages here.

Forever Fern

Forever Fern is a beautifully stamp set. This set has a number of leaves and greenery images that are realistic looking. I have enjoyed this set since it hit the Stampin' Up! catalog a couple of years ago. I will admit that I was very sad to find out it was on the retiring list this past spring. I wasn't done creating with it. I feel like there are so many things you can create with this set and the coordinating dies. 

Let me share with you a few more that I did make before I knew this set was on the retiring list. Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, and Fresh Freesia is a fantastic color combination. I used all three colors to create the main panel.

Uniquely Artistic

Uniquely Artistic was a freebie that Stampin' Up! had sent to me for attending a conference. It was not a stamp set I would have picked on my own and it took me quite a while to get inky. Once I did, I had fun with the set but will not be a favorite stamp set for me. 

I started with Evening Evergreen for the card base. The layer was embossed with Painted Texture. I heat embossed the leaves and then sponged some Evening Evergreen ink over the top. The greeting was stamped with Rich Razzleberry. The flower was stamped with Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry. Isn't it funny how much Rich Razzleberry changed when I sponged it onto the center of the flower?

Artistically Inked

This stamp set and coordinating dies made a huge splash on the Stampin' Up! world when they debuted a couple of years ago. At least I think it was a couple of years ago. I loved the cards that others were making but I just didn't need another flower stamp set and dies so I resisted.    

OH WHY DID I RESIST?!?

 I have no idea! I have loved everything I have made with this set. It is so worth the cost for Artistically Inked stamps and coordinating dies, Artistic Dies.

This first card I die cut the flowers and then sponged ink onto the flowers and leaves. I wasn't that careful so if colors leaned into the next color, that was OK.

A Fish and a Wish Scrapbook Pages

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that I like the challenge of creating scrapbook pages with stamps. Someone once told me that scrapbook pages are just large cards. I'm not sure I buy that but I get the sentiment.

Christmas Season

Pretty sure I have shared with you before that I like to work on Christmas year round. I love Christmas and creating cards year round, helps me enjoy it even more. I get to relax a bit more because my cards just need to be sign and addressed. Now, I don't always get to that in a timely manner but I try!

Christmas Season is a really lovely Christmas foliage stamp set. On this first card I used the holly leaves and berries. The embossing folder is named Merry Melody. After I embossed the Very Vanilla cardstock, I added some Sahara Sand ink so the embossing would pop a bit more.

Celebrate Sunflowers

Celebrate Sunflowers is one of my all time favorite sets. I created several cards and scrapbook pages with this set and the coordinating dies. I was pretty sad when it was on the retiring list. I get why we need the turn over and make room for new and the next favorites but this set really bummed me. I will be holding on to this set for a while so that I can continue to create with it for personal use. 

These cards are made with a technique called faux wood burning. It's an easy technique but not every stamp set is made for this technique in my opinion.

Sweet Citrus

It's Memorial Day. I pray you are remembering all those who have gone before us and served this great country with their lives. 

Sweet Citrus is a great stamp set. It has coordinating dies and embossing folder. You can do so much with this set. Let me show you a couple of ideas. 

I started off sharing a some grapefruit. While I am not a grapefruit eater, I can appreciate the colors and smells of grapefruit, just not the sour taste. I should try again, it has been a while. To create the two shades of colors on the fruit I inked up the stamp with So Saffron (which has now retired so Lemon Lolly or Daffodil Delight would work) and then add some some Calypso Coral with a sponge dauber to the image before stamping and die cutting.

Happier Than Happy

Happier Than Happy has this adorable bear, owl, and fox in the set. The coordinating dies cut them out too which is always a time saver. The designer series paper that was part of the suite was adorable too. I was surprised to see this one on the retiring list as it is so cute I thought it would be good for so many cards and other handmade items.

The designer series paper is doing most of the work for this card. I did add stamped and die cut images of the bear, tree, stump, owl, and tag. 

Adorable Owls Scrapbook Pages

Adorable Owls really are adorable! My Belle LOVES owls! She has several around her room and has an email set up with owl as part of the name. She asked me to make her some scrapbook pages with the darling set and here they are.

True Beauty

I had pulled a number of stamp sets to work with recently. Little did I know that when I pulled them that most of them were going to be on the retiring list. Now I have all these cards that I made and you can't purchase the stamps and dies for them any longer. Oh well! You can always take away a layout, color combination or even copy because you have the set!

True Beauty was a set that I purchased a while ago but never put it to ink. I decided that it was long enough and then created 6 different cards with it. Here are three. Heather Highland and Mint Macaroon are the colors. The large flower was stamped and die cut.

Grassy Grove

Grassy Grove is a great set for creating masculine cards. Cards for guys can be very hard to make. Some guys like cars, some like sports, some like wood working, some like other things. One thing that most can agree on is the great outdoors. Grassy Grove fits that bill. It has trees, grass, deer and some awesome greetings.

Evening Evergreen has retired now but this could could be recreated with any shade of green and be awesome. I think even doing this cards with a bright green would be awesome.

Ringed With Nature Scrapbook Pages

Ringed With Nature was in the fall mini catalog. It was advertised as a fall/Christmas stamp set. I totally saw that and used that view for these scrapbook pages but I see so much more with this set. I need to pull it from my shelf and get playing again. 

Cottage Rose

The beautiful Cottage Rose stamp set and coordinating dies will be off to relax in retirement very soon. I was able to do a little be of playing with this set and am going to share what I created. 

Soft Succulent is also on the retiring list and it is the card base for this card. The designer series paper is the Perfectly Penciled paper and I used the blends to color the leaves on this paper. This is one of the best parts of black and white designer series papers, coloring it and making it your own.

A Fish and a Wish

A Fish and A Wish is on the retiring list and won't be available much longer. This is an easy set to over look in the catalog but I have had great fun creating with it. In fact, this set of card was a Class at Home set.

Paradise Palms

If you have followed me for any amount of time, you know that I LOVE THE BEACH! The warm sun, the surf crashing, the sand, the shells, the salty air...I adore very bit of the beach. Paradise Palms helps me have a little bit of the beach in my house. 

Old Olive and Balmy Blue are used to create this card. The moon is from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set. Can't you just feel the heat and hear the waves and taste the salty air? I can!

Snowman Magic Scrapbook Pages

Sometimes scrapbook pages can be very simple and let the pictures do the talking. After all, it's the memories that we all want to remember. The scrapbook pages should highlight the pictures. 

This set of pages is one of those sets where the pictures will be the highlights and not much extras on them. I used Snowman Magic to create these pages. 

Greatest Journey

Every month I offer a Class At Home. This class is one that is intended for you to purchase the supplies, I cut the paper and deliver to you and then you complete the projects at home, on your own time. You get to keep all the supplies. I pick one bundle from the catalogs to highlight during that month. I try to use this bundle for scrapbook pages too. 

April's Class At Home is featuring the bundle Greatest Journey. I love the greetings in this set and the dies are awesome. I have the three cards that you will get with this class here to share. This first card uses the designer series paper and the stamps to create a fantastic card that could be used for many different situations. 

Taco Fiesta

Mexican food is my favorite foods! I love just about everything about it. Tortillas, chips, salsa, pico, guac, nachos, burritos, tacos, margaritas...yum! Now I'm getting hungry! 

When I saw Taco Fiesta in the mini catalog, it was on my very first order so that I could play with it. I did play pretty quick after getting it but it has taken some time to share those cards with you. Alas! The wait is over for the first round of cards with this set.

The piñata is colored with blends as well as the chips and guac. The chips stamped repeatedly made a fantastic background. I did have to fussy cut the piñata, guac bowl, and chips as there are no dies for this set. Pretty easy cuts though.

Kindest Gnomes Scrapbook Pages

Here are those gnomes again! I think I really enjoyed the Kindest Gnomes stamp set and dies. I wish I could have shared all these goodies with you while the stamps were available for purchase but I am still working on being organized and consistent. 

Thanks a Bunch

Sale-a-bration is over but the goodies are still fun to play with. The stamp set called Thanks a Bunch is really an adorable set. I had great fun creating with it. So I have a couple more cards to share. 

Parakeet Party, Pumpkin Pie, and Calypso Coral is the color combination that I chose for this card. The carrots were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and the tops with Parakeet Party. The Calypso Coral layer was embossed with the Gingham embossing folder.

Uniquely Artistic

Uniquely Artistic was a freebie for attending a Stampin' Up! event. I have to admit that it was not my favorite and I kept pushing it away. Now that I have gotten it inky, I have enjoyed it more. This set is on the retiring list so if it speaks to you and you have to have it, get it now!

I used Flirty Flamingo for the card base. The flowers are stamped with Flirty Flamingo and the the lines with Polished Pink. The leaves are Garden Green. Nothing fancy on this card, just some stamping and the embossed texture.
