Scenic Garden

Last week I showed you 3 cards with this set that I colored in. These are not colored in. Sometimes these detail stamps can be overwhelming when considering how long it can take to color them. The tier of flowers is heat embossed with white embossing powder for this first card. 

Christmas to Remember

Sometimes an embossing folder just jumps out at you. the Whimsical Woodland embossing folder was one of those for me this fall. I paired it with the Christmas greeting stamp set called Christmas to Remember to create some cards.

This one is Polished Pink. I embossed the top layer and then used my Whisper White ink pad and ran it across the raised edges. The edges grab the ink so then the embossing is highlighted.

Boo Scrapbook Pages

While we are dealing with an ice storm in my neck of the woods, I'm finally sharing my Halloween pages from this fall. I know I told you I was behind in sharing my creations. I guess this one really makes you see how far behind I got in sharing.

I didn't purchase any of the Halloween stamps this year. I will purchase one on occasion but not all the time. I still like to make scrapbook pages for Halloween because my girls still like to dress up for a party and I love seeing their costumes. I think this might be coming to an end though.

Adorable Owls

There is only a week left to get these Adorable Owls! They are so cute and fun. You can see the other cards I made with this wonderful stamp set HERE.

Now to show you 3 more cards. This first on is Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. The layer of Crumb Cake under the owl is embossed with the Timber embossing folder for some great texture.

Scenic Garden

This card has the base of Soft Succulent. I embossed the next layer with the ferns embossing folder. The gate and flowers are colored with blends. I would love to take a walk through this garden. I can feel the sun and smell those flowers. Sigh.

Thanks a Bunch

Thanks a Bunch is one of the Sale-a-bration freebies that you might pick with a $50 order through February. This set is an interesting set as it is about carrots. I will admit I thought it a bit strange at first and had a hard time playing with it at first but I had some fun and created these cards and a few more that I will share very soon!

This card has a Rich Razzleberry card base and uses some unusual colors for those carrots. I used Blushing Bride, Crushed Curry, and Rich Razzleberry. This is a more traditional way to use this stamp set but with some unusual colors for cards. 

Snowman Magic

Well, we got a "big" snow storm in SE WI yesterday, so I had to share some snowmen with you. It only seemed fitting.

Snowman Magic was a bundle that was available during the fall months in the mini. It has retired. I didn't get to playing with it until late in the year so I still have goodies to share with you using the bundle. This card is a simple, one layer card. The trees were stamped with Parakeet Party and some snow was stamped over the trees with Balmy Blue. The snowman was stamped, die cut and added to the card with a dimensional.

Nature's Prints Scrapbook Pages

My family and I have been able to take a couple of vacations recently. It's kind of amazing that we have been able to get most and even everyone on a couple of trips. I wanted use these papers and stamp set so away I went!

Orchid Oasis

Another great color that Stampin' Up! added to the line up this past spring is Orchid Oasis. This is a bluish purple color that is different from every other color that we have. 

I used a sale-a-bration stamp set from the July-August sale-a-bration period called Wonderful World stamps set. I used the makers for Orchid Oasis and Pear Pizzazz on the iris to get the two colors. 

Paradise Palms

I don't have any Valentine cards to share with you. I don't send any out so I don't make any. So I thought I would share with you something that I love on this day that celebrates love, the beach and summer!

 I pulled out Paradise Palms for these cards with a warm, summer like palette. How about Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive for that summer feel.

Bottled Happiness

This is a fun stamp set that is in the main catalog. It is a bundle with the coordinating punch. It's called Bottled Happiness. I will have to pull this one form the shelf again soon, it was so much fun to play with.

I started with a Starry Sky cardstock for the card base. I stamped the bottle with Starry Sky and Daffodil Delight inks. I have to admit that I would stamp with one color, clean my stamp, and stamp with the other color, clean, stamp with the first color. This is the only way I knew to create the background on this card. I layered some vellum over the main image to soften the look. 

Brewed For You

I have shared cards with you before with the Brewed For You stamp set. I'm not much of a drinker. I do have a drink on occasion but that is about it and I still love this set. It has been so much fun playing with and creating.

I stamped the mug with Basic Gray ink on Basic Gray card base. The "beer' is stamped with Crushed Curry ink. This is a fairly simple card and shows how you don't need a ton of fancy things to make wonderful cards. Yes, the circle is die cut but you could just use a square or rectangle, no fancy equipment needed.

One Sheet Wonder

Have you ever tried a one sheet wonder? It's where you take one piece of designer series paper and cut it up to make cards with the cut paper. I did that with a piece of designer series paper from the hostess only pack called Design a Daydream. I made 10 cards with that one sheet of designer series paper and here they are.

When I do one sheet wonders, I find a cutting guide off Pinterest and cut the paper according to the guide. I then determine how many cards I am going to make. Most cutting guides will have this information that you can follow or tweak to your needs. I then find the cardstock that coordinates with the designer series paper that I just cut and get the card bases ready to go. I find a stamp set that I want to use and pull the coordinating ink colors from my shelf. Now I'm ready to create!

Ringed with Nature

Ringed with Nature made its debut in the fall mini catalog. It is a great bundle with stamps, dies, and an embossing folder. The stamp set includes a tree ring stamp, mushrooms (that look like gum drops to me), acorn and cap, flowers, greenery, house, roof, and greetings. It is geared towards the fall and Christmas seasons but it really can be used for more. You won't see those cards on this post. I kept this post all about Christmas!

I embossed the Crumb Cake card base with the Tree Ring embossing folder. I stamped the poinsettia aand leaves creating my own designer series paper. I tied the ribbon around the layers. I love this look! The greeting was stamped and then cut apart so that it was in two pieces.

Kindest Gnomes

I love to scrapbook. I think it is so fun to use my stamping supplies to create these wonderful pages. I used Kindest Gnomes stamps and dies which were from the Sept-Dec mini catalog. They are retired but there is a set very similar in the new mini called Friendly Gnomes that you could use instead.
