Dandalion Wishes

Dandelion Wishes has been part of the Stampin' Up! selection for quite a while and it has completed it's journey with us. Retirement has been hard earned.

I didn't want to retire my set until I played with it one more time. I started with Rich Razzleberry card base. I inked up the dandelions with Bermuda Bay.  I then used a sponge dauber to add Rich Razzleberry to the centers of the dandelions. I stamped the floating seeds with Bermuda Bay. The ribbon was colored with my dark Rich Razzleberry blend. The sentiment was sponged along the edges with Bermuda Bay. A few rhinestones completed the card.

I did a Facebook Live creating this card. You can watch the replay HERE if you would like. I created the strip with plastic wrap and ink pads. So fun and easy! Start by squeezing your ink pads together to put some ink on the lid of the pads. I then put some water drops on the ink. Tear off some plastic wrap from the roll and dip it into one color. Pounce the color on your cardstock. Pick up more ink as needed. You can use the same piece of plastic wrap or tear another piece off and repeat with the next color.

Bermuda Bay is my card base. I stamped the seeds with Bermuda Bay ink on the card base. The dandelions were also stamped with Bermuda Bay and layered on Rich Razzleberry. The ribbon was colored with dark Rich Razzleberry blends. The greeting was stamped and the panel was adhered with dimensionals.

I have another set of cards using this stamp set that I will be sharing soon. This other set has a different color combination and some other fun things to take your stamping up a notch!

Pretty Peacock

One of the retiring In Colors this year has been a favorite of mine and I will miss it! Pretty Peacock has been a joy to create with. I love the rich blue/green tone.

I made this card with A Touch of Ink which was a Sale-a-bration freebie. I stamped the butterfly background with Coastal Cabana and then the outline of the butterfly with Pretty Peacock. I added speckles with Flirty Flamingo. The ribbon was colored with the dark Flirty Flamingo blend.

The base for this card is thick Basic White. I stamped the compass with Pretty Peacock ink on Pretty Peacock cardstock and tied the braided linen trim around the panel before adding it to the card. I added a sliver of Early Espresso at the seam. The Crumb Cake piece was stamped and then punched with the Banner Triple punch and tucked under the layers. The lighthouse and birds completed the card.

My card base is Pretty Peacock again. This time I layered it with Mint Macaroon that was embossed with Evergreen Forest embossing folder. I die cut the labels from Sahara Sand and Basic White. I stamped the mountains with Sahara Sand and the trees and the greeting with Pretty Peacock. For the birds, I used Early Espresso.

While I'm sad about losing this beautiful color, I am excited about the new colors coming in. I can't tell you about them yet but I am excited to work with them too!

Happy Stampin'!
