Grassy Grove is a great set for creating masculine cards. Cards for guys can be very hard to make. Some guys like cars, some like sports, some like wood working, some like other things. One thing that most can agree on is the great outdoors. Grassy Grove fits that bill. It has trees, grass, deer and some awesome greetings.
Evening Evergreen has retired now but this could could be recreated with any shade of green and be awesome. I think even doing this cards with a bright green would be awesome.
This technique is called looking up. I stamped the trees in the four corners with Evening Evergreen ink. Then I stamped the trees between the corners with Garden Green. Then with a blending brush, lay some Daffodil Delight ink into the center of the trees. Then add some Balmy Blue to the edges of the cardstock. Use as desired on a project. HERE is the Facebook Live video where I make this card and show the step by steps.
The set of coordinating dies for Grassy Grove has this beautiful tree line dies. No matter how you cut the paper, the trees will be die cut from it with amazing details. The deer is a separate die that can be put any where on the project. I created the background by blending some Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie inks. These peek through the trees with a sunset feel to them.
I hope I have inspired you to create some masculine cards. Grassy Grove can help you with that inspiration. You can find this set and other in my online store by clicking on the pictures below to go shopping.
Happy Stampin'!
