Inky Friends: Last Chance Blog Hop: Sunny Days

Image may contain: text

Welcome to another Inky Friends blog hop! We are focusing on retiring stamp sets. These sets and others will only be available until June 3. Make sure you get all the sets and supplies before they are gone.

Inky Friends are going to try to get you to buy a few more sets that you don't want to miss. We are all linked together so you can click on the links forward or backward and get all around the hop. If you happen to be going forward, you would have just been at The Stampin' Bunny where Rhonda was playing with Southern Serenade. Or maybe the rebel in you came to play today and you are going backwards. Then you would have come from Lily Ink Pad where Sara featured Lovey as a Tree. (I still can't believe this set is retiring.)

It doesn't matter where you came from, you are here now to see what I made with Sunny Days. This set was only in the catalog for the last year. It's so cute! I'm sad that it's retiring. I would like to play with it a bit more. I will survive, I know you were worried about me!

I used the lemonade glass on my first card. I colored the "liquid" in the glass with Pineapple Punch and the straw with Pumpkin Pie. The "liquid" was covered with a layer of the Fine-Tip glue so that it looks wet and glossy. It says "You can do hard things." I sent this card to a friends 24 year old who fell and broke his hip and tibia. OUCH!

I used Buffalo Check background stamp on the card base. The little orange and lemon were fussy cut and then highlighted with Wink of Stella. They are on dimensionals too.

I used the lemonade stand for the last card. I did a bit of water coloring on this image. The words say, "Wishing you sunny days ahead!" What fun would it be to get this card in the mail after a hard day. Do you have someone in mind to send this one to?

I didn't create a scrapbook page. Since mom's death, I have really struggled with creativity. I have pushed myself to just stamp. Cards are less overwhelming than pages right now. I'm hoping with summer vacation (I work at a middle school) coming up, I will try some scraping again.

Now you are off to see what Sara made with Lovely as a Tree or what Rhonda did with Southern Serenade. Enjoy!

I love the bright color choices! Summer can come anytime to this dreary Wisconsin!

Shelly, your colors are fantastic! So fresh! Your creative designs are so fun! I'd never have though of slices as accents, and they make that card!
