Cozy cottage

This little cottage is so cozy looking! I see on Facebook those memes where you could live in this house for a year and a million dollars but you have to give up Facebook, share if you would do it. I would totally do it in most of those houses! This adorable cottage in the woods is one of those places for me. The peace, nature, the quiet, the rest, the relaxation...totally could use that break right now!

This set also has a very nice set of flowers that I almost didn't notice because of the sweet cottage. I wanted to make sure you saw these flowers so I used them by themselves as the focal point of this card.

Birdie

This is a very simple card. Just a little stamping and coloring. I did die cut the little heart but you could stamp it or even free hand cut one. The border around the card is free hand. You don't have to be an artist to do this frame. Look at mine!

Simple can be striking. You don't have to go over the top every time you create. Keeping it simple can be the best way to go sometimes!

Blog Hop Follow Up

Here are the pages that I made for the blog hop this past weekend. I'm thrilled that Petal Palette stamp set is hanging around in the new catalog but I'm very sad that Petal Passions DSP will be gone. I have enjoyed working with this paper.

I used markers to color that paper, the birds and the flowers.

There is a ribbon down the middle of the paper too.

So much retiring on these pages. Sweet Sugarplum, the DSP, the ribbon, the friend die cut. While that may be sad in some ways, it really makes room for more goodness!

Strawberry Pages

It's a little early for strawberries but I wanted to share this set of pages with you anyway. This stamp set, Sharing Sweet Thoughts, is on the retiring list.

The DSP is from Delightful Daisy package. I am going to miss that paper. The new papers are wonderful, I LOVE daisies though.

I did stamp the butterflies that come in this set a couple of times on the edges of the layout and then used the white gel pen to color in the spots on their wings. It's a bit hard to see that.

I love strawberries! I'm looking forward to some fresh, yummy berries this summer!
