The Forever Blooms set is so pretty. I was a little intimidated by it when I first got it. It took me months to pull it out and get it inky. I'm not sure why it intimidated me. Once I got it out and started working with it, I had lots of ideas to create.
These cards have a few retired items on them but you can easily substitute something similar and recreate them if you would like.
I used the Basket Weave embossing folder on this card. It has retired but there are so many great embossing folders in the new catalog that you could use instead or use one that you already have! I stamped the cherry blossoms with Rich Razzleberry ink. That's it. Nothing fancy but oh, so pretty!
This card uses Crackle Paint background stamp that has retired too. To create this card you could sprinkle ink droplets, or another background stamp. Be creative! See what you can do! The Pretty Label punch has also retired bu there are several punches that could work instead!
I stamped the Crackled Paint with Smoky Slate. Then I stamped the cherry blossoms with Rich Razzleberry ink. I used my Water Painter to pull some of the ink from the stamped image into the image. The ribbon was colored with my dark Rich Razzleberry Blend marker.
The spotlighting technique is really quite simple! I stamped the cherry blossoms branch with Smoky Slate ink on the Whisper White cardstock. I die cut the circles from Whisper White and Smoky Slate cardstocks. I stamped the cherry blossoms on the Whisper White circle and colored with Watercolor Pencils. Use a Water Painted to pull the color from the color marks to fill in the image as you desire. Layer onto the Smoky Slate circle. Adhere to the card front where the image lines up. I again colored my ribbon with my Blends.
