Boot Scooting Boogie

When I created the layout that I shared with you yesterday, I also made this card. We love country in our house! Miriam will be studying Agricultural Engineering at UW-River Falls. She loves her cowboy boots! This card reminds me of her! I will have to keep it to mail to her after she has gone to school this fall.

I stamped Hardwood to the base with Dapper Denim ink. I water colored the boots with Dapper Denim and Early Espresso. While Dapper Denim is retired, there are several other great blues you could use to recreate this card! Which will you chose?

The new catalog goes live this afternoon! Let me know if you would like a catalog!! I would love to share one with you!

Country Livin'

The last couple of years, my girls and I have gone to a country festival where they play country music for 4 days. We have had a ton of fun at this festival. We don't have many pictures but lots of memories! I made these pages to put the few pictures on that we have.

This side of the layout I water colored the images and used them for accents.

This truck is the BOMB! I would love a real one but that will never happen so I use it in my stamping so I can enjoy it!

This is a pretty simple layout that could be used for many other things. How would you use it?

Country Livin'

Hi everyone!

I have been challenging myself to use my stamp sets and create several cards using the set and a certain color combination. Here's my take on Country Livin'.

This guitar is striking and yet simple.

My boots I did simple on the first card and then stepped it up on the second one. I added the sponging on the white circle, the linen thread that looks like a lasso, and the Dapper Denim piece was run through the Big Shot with the Lucky Stars folder. Both are nice but I seem to like the stepped up version better.

The truck turned out to be my favorite. The truck is water colored with Aqua painters and the ink from the lid of the stamp pads. The edges of the card is sponged as well. I love to sponge the edges. Softens the edges and adds dimension without a lot of effort!

What stamp set would you like to see me play with? Let me know! If I have it, I will play with it!
