Life's Short

I have a very summery looking set of scrapbook pages for you to get inspired by today! This lemon set is so refreshing. I truly enjoy a nice, cold glass of lemonade in the summer and these pages make me think of that glass of lemonade!

The "lemons" were stamped with a couple different colors and then punched out for the center of this page. The "DSP" was created by stamping the inside of the lemon with Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango.

The sentiment on the top left corner says "Life's Short". Life truly is short. One of my Miriam's classmates was killed in a car accident on May 23.  He had just turned 18 and was to graduate on May 26.  While this was a very difficult time for his parents and family, Miriam, her classmates, teachers, and friends, we have a sure hope of seeing Cameron again in heaven.

The lemon on the bottom right corner of this page has "Squeeze it for all it's worth". That is one thing that Miriam has struggled with the most with loosing Cameron. She has said that he had so much to accomplish. We can't always understand why but we can trust and enjoy the time we have with all those around us!

Hello Summer Layout

Summer is right around the corner! The school year is winding down and I am preparing to have my days at home! So many projects are on my list, not sure how I am going to get them all done but I am going to try hard!

These pages are so cheerful and bright. I love the colors of them. While this green and dark pink, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder, retired last year, we have other great greens and pinks that you could use to recreate this layout! The light pink, Pink Pirouette, is retiring this year as well as the stamp set.

I haven't used this stamp set as much as I thought I might have but I really like the way this layout turned out. Adding pictures will be fun. Belle, my youngest daughter, is going to love adding her pictures to these pages as she love flamingos!

I created my own DSP on these pages by taking Whisper White cardstock and stamping my images on it in different colors. I didn't use 2 different greens. I stamped the images more than once to give a second generation image. That just means that I used the ink that was still on the stamp after stamping once.

You will notice that my pineapple has two different colors to it. I cut my image in half so that I could get this look easier. It still will go on the block and stamp the whole image with no issues but because it's in two pieces, I can get two colors when I stamp without markers.

Are you ready for summer? What are your big plans?

Summer Fun

One more layout using the Colorful Seasons bundle. This is my interpretation of summer. We live in the Racine, WI area. We have a nice beach on Lake Michigan. We try to get there a couple times a summer. These pages will be perfect for adding some of the pictures from those trips.

I love the colors to this layout. I am going to have pull them out again and create some more! To get the white dashed circle on this page, I laid out a die of a circle and I used a white gel pen to outline the circle to look like stitch marks. There are stitch marks also on the Smoky Slate strip.

Simply layering different colors of card stock make a striking page.

Well, that's what I have created with the Colorful Seasons bundle. Don't miss out on the discount you get by purchasing the bundle. This bundle won't be available after May 31!
