Butterfly Gala

Butterflies are so much fun to watch. I enjoy seeing the float around our yard in the summer and look forward to them every year.

The stamp set Butterfly Gala lets me have my butterflies now. No waiting necessary! This first card is a one layered card. That means I don't have any other layers than the thick Whisper White card stock that is the base. I stamped the butterflies in Stazon and then used the stamps that coordinate with the little butterfly and the top of the wings and the bottom of the larger butterfly.

This card was a bit trickier to create. You see, the little butterfly and the large butterfly are connected. They are on the same stamp so that when you are using the coordinating punch, they line up better and easier. I didn't want the little butterfly on this card. I inked up just the larger butterfly and stamped and re-inked and stamped...you get the point. I had to be careful not to ink up that little butterfly each time.

This card was fun to create and uses a technique I need to remember to use again! I cut my Whisper White card stock to 5 1/4" by 4". Then I stamped the butterflies along the right edge of that card stock. Then I fussy cut the edges of the butterflies. I adhered the Whisper White to Gorgeous Grape to complete the card. Not too hard but a WOW look to it!

These are all a #simplestamping cards! Have fun with them!

I'm still praying that all of you are safe and happy. This is a difficult time for everyone. If you haven't been mailing cards to other, I would like to encourage you to do that too! I have mailed a few (I have some more I need to get in the mail). It's been great to get the text messages, Facebook messages saying thank you and that I made their day! Go make someone's day!

Happy Stampin'!
