Confirmation Invitations

I know you have been waiting on pins and needles to see what I created that the family chose to use for their invitations! The wait can now stop! Behold!!!

Not too difficult to create. Changing the colors to whatever you would like would really change the look and feel of this card. On the inside I put all the information for the worship service and party plans on the right side. On the left I printed up the young man's Bible verse on Whisper White and the layered it on Crushed Curry. Layering always makes the card feel finished to me!

Pray for me! Graduation is tomorrow! I'm excited for Miriam to take this next, natural step in life but I want to hold on and keep her mine just a bit longer. I'm praying I can keep the tears at bay.

Confirmation Samples

I was asked by a dear friend to create confirmation invitations for her son. I came up with a couple of samples for them to pick from to see which one they liked the best. These are the samples that I created.

Hold on to Hope is a fabulous set to use for many religious cards. It's the perfect set for so many events. I adore this set! On this first card I used a Dapper Denim base with a Crushed Curry strip that was embossed with the Sparkle embossing folder. The cross was stamped with a desperately in need of reinking Crumb Cake ink pad and then cut out with the matching dies. This one didn't make the cut but I really like this layout.

I liked this next card but there is something that isn't quite right. I still can't put my finger on what the issue is with this one. I'm thinking there is too much white. What do you think? The word confirmation comes from a retired stamp set called All God's Grace. I sponged the wood embossed Crushed Curry with Crushed Curry ink so that you could see the texture even better. This one didn't make the cut either.

Guess you'll have to come back tomorrow to see what design they decided to go with. I bet you can't guess the colors they chose!

Cross sympathy

This is a sympathy card that I made last spring. Sympathy cards are hard to create when you need one. I like to make 4 or 6 at a time and just have them on hand so that I can grab and go instead of having to sit and create. When I made this, this stamp set was current. It retired last spring. You can make a similar card with the products that are currently available.

The DSP is also retired but there are other DSP's that would work to make this card. The new Wood Plank embossing folder might even make this a better card!

Happy Stampin'!

Shelley
