Hug in a Mug

Back to work and school today! What did you get accomplished over the long weekend? What did you create?

I know some had to work. Thank you to those of you that did. I'm praying you will be able to find some time to create something wonderful soon!

One of the stamp sets in the Holiday Mini that I think is being overlooked is Hug in a Mug. I'm not a coffee drinker. I love tea and hot chocolate! So when I saw this set, it was right up my alley. You can use it for coffee too.

This first card has a lodge feel to it. I love the Hardwood background and I have forgotten to use it so out it came!

This second card was a pleasure to create! Making my own background using the smaller stamps in the set was a fun thing to do.

Did you know that hot cocoa is made with water and hot chocolate is made with milk? I learned that a couple of years ago. Interesting little tidbit of knowledge that I have shared!

Star of Light

How did your shopping go yesterday? What were you best buys of the day? I LOVE Black Friday sales!

Star of Light is another one of those stamp/die sets that I just had to have and then struggled to know what to do with them. I did create a double layout with it last winter and then it sat. Others have done some wonderful things with this set and yet I struggled.

These are pretty simple cards but I love the way they turned out!

They use the same colors and have the same basic layout but they each feel a little different.

The colors are Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, and Smoky Slate.

Hang Your Stocking Pages 2

I hope you had a GREAT Thanksgiving day! Are you out shopping today?

While all the papers were on my table for the Presenting the Gifts blog hop, I made a set of scrapbook pages. Stampin' Up! stamps and papers can be used to make so much more than just cards. I love the challenge of using the stamps to make scrapbook pages. I started in the scrapbook world a bit late. I have been stamping for almost 22 years (WOW does that make me feel old!) and I have just starting making pages the last 5 years. With 4 children and lots of memories, I have a ton of pages that need to be made.

Wise Men Still Seek Him Pages

Happy Turkey Day!!

I hope you are able to celebrate this wonderful day of thanksgiving with family and friends. One of the things that I am most thankful for is my faith in my Savior.

Wise men still seek Him. That's what I think of every time I see this stamp set. I did use this set for a blog hop. I did create 3 cards with it. You can see those cards HERE. I try to make scrapbook pages with each stamp set. I love the challenge and it stretches me to think outside the box sometimes. I had run out of time to create some pages for that blog hop but I did get these made a short time later.
