Hey Chick

The Hey Chick set made a second debut this spring. It even has coordinating dies and another coordinating set with dies too! I hadn't gotten rid of my set from the 2017 sale-a-bration so I was able to make a few items with this fun set!

This is an impossible card. Start with a 4-1/4" by 5-1/2" piece of cardstock. Score the cardstock on the 4-1/4" side at 2-1/8". On the 5-1/2" side, cut at 2-3/4" down to the score line. Turn cardstock so that the other side of 5-1/2" is on top and cut at 1" and 4-1/2" down to the center score line. Twist the cardstock creating the card base. Designer Series Paper: Cut a 4" by 3-1/4" piece. Along the 3-1/4" side, line up the right side at 3/4" and cut from 1-7/8" down. Rotate 180 degrees and repeat. Along the 4" side, line up the left side at 1-7/8" and cut down from 3/4" to 2-1/2". Remove the left piece. Rotate 180 degrees, line up the left side at 1-7/8" and cut down from 3/4" to the bottom of cardstock. This should create the layers for the card base.

This is the backside of the card. I love this chick with the floppy feathers! You can watch my Facebook Live I did to make this card HERE. Sometimes it's good to watch someone making an item to understand better.

I started with a piece of Basic White. I stamped the chicken and the egg. I water colored the chickens and then put some Pool Party around them. I then ran the piece through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.

This is an arrow fold card. Start with 8-1/2" by 5-1/2". Score at 4-1/4" and fold on score line. On the front of the card, mark at 2-3/4" on the bottom and 2-1/8" on each side. Score diagonally from the corner to the center bottom mark and again from the center bottom mark to the mid side mark. Fold the longer score back and then to the front again. Decorate as desired. Isn't it different and fun way to make a card!

Don't miss out Hey Chick and it's coordinating dies. They are retiring at the end of June or when supplies run out.
