Dragonfly Garden Scrapbook Pages

Scrapbook pages were intimidating to me when I first started creating them. I was told time and time again that they are just big cards but I couldn't get over the size differences. I was overwhelmed with the amount of space that I needed to fill. I got over it by using page maps or sketches. I learned how to do my own thing using the sketches and I have loved creating pages!

The designer series paper has retired but I'm sure you can find something that would be a good replacement.

The dragonflies were stamped with Stazon black ink and then colored with water color pencils. After I had the color on the dragonflies, I did take my water painter and blend the colors together a bit. I also added Wink of Stella to their wings. I'm not sure how you can have wings without Wink of Stella on them!

The words are from two different sets of dies. The always is from the Always dies and friends is from Well Written dies. Both of these dies are now retired. The little dragonflies are on the same punch as the large ones. They were just punched and Wink of Stella added to the wings.

Don't be intimidated by the size of scrapbook pages. Find a sketch or a page that you like and use your own papers to create your own page! They aren't as difficult as they may seem!
