Comfort & Hope

Comfort & Hope retired in May with the start of the new catalog. I had made these cards before the set was retired but I didn't get a chance to share them here so I'm taking the time to share them now.

The card base is Blackberry Bliss with a layer of Sahara Sand. Mossy Meadow was embossed with Greenery embossing folder. I added a few Gold Glitter Dots and a bow of linen thread after I stamped the front panel.

I stamped the background randomly. I don't always do a random pattern very well. This one was a struggle for me but I think I made it work. I sponged some Sahara Sand ink on the edges of the main panel and tied some braided linen trim.

This card took a bit more effort to complete. The main panel was stamped with the herringbone pattern and the dots. I fussy cut the pine leaf and adhered that to the back of the greeting. The gold thread was added in a loop. I struggled with getting that in the place that I wanted it. Guess I need to do this more so that it will be easier. The front panel was embossed with Tasteful Textile. It's a subtle texture and hard to see in the picture.

Even though you can't purchase this set, you may take away several things from these cards. Color combination, layout, even the cards themselves with another set or you may have this set and make your own! There is always something you can be inspired by.

Stampin' Up! has great quality products. The supplies I used to make these cards are pictured below. You can click on the pictures to be taken to my online store to purchase them and many more supplies.

Happy Stampin'!
