Nature's Beauty

Nature's Beauty came out last year in the Aug-Dec mini catalog. I have to admit to not being wowed by this set. Oh, don't get me wrong. I liked the images and the realism that the artist that created the images was able to create but I wasn't sold on how much I would use it. I hesitated to purchase the set. I broke down and bought it, more to help Stampin' Up!'s cause. You see, $3 of every set purchased last year went to mental health research. This is a cause that I wanted to support.

I'm so glad I did purchase this set! I can't believe how much I have used it and really enjoyed creating with it! I pulled it again from my shelf and created three more cards. I am needing a sympathy card so I stamped the words "sending prayers" on this one. The deer was stamped with Early Espresso. I used my Water Painted to pull the color from the image into the image. I didn't pick up any color at all.

I also need an anniversary card so I stamped the rabbit on the left side of the Whisper White die cut. I then stamped the bunny on my silicone craft mat. Then flip the silicone craft mat over and line up the image where you would like it and lay the mat down on paper. Tap gently to remove ink from the mat and place on the cardstock. I then using my Water Painter to pull the color from the image into the image. This is called the reflection or mirror technique.

I used the same technique to create this fox card but instead of placing the second image next to the first, I placed it under the first image as a reflection. I'm not sure I achieved the reflection in water look but I love this fox anyway!

You can see some of the other cards that I have made with this set HERE. I have several other posts with this set. I have another set of cards coming up too!

Happy Stampin'!
