Here are 7 cards that are all basically the same. I tweaked some colors on them but the technique is the same. When using this technique, no two cards will look alike. You can see that by scrolling through my 7!
These first two I made using the colors Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink, and Old Olive. These seemed a bit too dark to me and yet I really like the way these cards turned out.
Then I changed to Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green. The blue didn't seem quite, yet. Looking at this card now, I think it turned out super well.
I finally settled on Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green. Even though I used the same color combination, these cards are pretty different from each other.
You can see that I changed the ribbon to Pool Party sheer ribbon. I also played with the colors for stamping the greeting, starfish, and layering cardstock layer.
Do you have a favorite? I'm not sure I do. I love the way they all turned out.
I bet you are wonder what the heck I did to create these awesome cards. Well, I inked up the embossing folder with the different color inks. I inked up the indented side of the folder so the inks would be on those fantastic embossed shells. Once I got the ink on the folder, I misted the folder with some water. I then laid my Basic White cardstock in the folder and ran it through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. Once the cardstock is dry, use as desired. HERE is the Facebook Live video where I make one of these cards.
