Chevron Simply Marbleous

The Simply Marbleous designer series paper is one of my favorite papers. The one side looks like a satin and the other a marble slab. Both are so pretty and vibrant. I liked both sides so much, I decided to play with a technique called chevron quilt.

I made all 6 colors into cards too because they are so pretty! Above is Flirty Flamingo and Blushing Bride. The card below is Basic Gray and Smoky Slate.

I used the daisy punch and the bough punch to add accents to each card. This card is Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape.

The sentiment came from another sale-a-bration freebie called Special Moments. This stamp set was free at the $100 level and has a ton of sentiments in it. The colors below are Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight.

The leaves were all punched from Granny Apple Green and the centers of the daisies are different embellishments. Pool Party and Coastal Cabana are beautiful here.

HERE is the video I made where I show how to create this background. Not really hard but sort of putzy.
Cut 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock to finish sized. Cut 1" strips of designer series paper. Adhere the designer series paper with multi-purpose glue to one of the pieces of cardstock on an angle. Make sure you are using 2 designs of paper that coordinate with each other and that you are alternating between the two patterns as you are adhering to the cardstock. Repeat on the other piece of cardstock BUT have the strips going the opposite way for the angle. Cut the two pieces into 1" strips. Alternate between each of the angles and adhere to the card base. To round out the colors, we have Bumblebee and So Saffron.

Sometimes you just have to make the same card in lots of different colors. Using this paper made it even easier than normal to use several colors to create.
